Ok Jae Lee serves as an Accompanist for the Detroit Children's Choir.
As an active pianist, harpsichordist and chamber musician, Ok Jae Lee has performed numerous solo and collaborative recitals in South Korea, Germany and the United States. She also has been featured as a soloist with the various orchestras and was a prizewinner in several competitions including the UIUC 21st Century Piano Commission, the Southern Illinois Young Artist Competition, the Granquist Music Competition, Bradshaw and Buono piano competition, the Krannert Debut Artist Competition, to mention a few. She was a recipient of many scholarships including the June and Charles Ross Piano fellowship, the University of Illinois, Sungeum Music Gramophone, the Doowha Piano Scholarship, Hanyang University Scholarship and the Kaywon Arts Scholarship.
Ok Jae Lee completed her Bachelor of Music degree from the Hanyang University in Seoul, South Korea, graduating with high distinction. She received her Master of Music degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign both in Piano Performance and Literature and Harpsichord Performance and Literature. She is pursuing her DMA in Piano Performance and Literature and served as an accompanying assistant at the University of Illinois. She is currently the main organist at St.Andrew Kim Catholic Church in Northville, Michigan.
