Stefan Kukurugya serves as an In-School Conductor for the Detroit Children's Choir.
Detroit born and raised pianist Stefan Kukurugya has musical credentials longer than his name. Since picking up his first instrument – a harmonica – when he was 11 years old, Stefan has been writing, performing, producing, teaching, and directing music in venues around Detroit and across the county.
He’s been a touring keyboardist for the late David Ruffin of the Temptations, been a bandleader for countless parties and events, provided sound effects for the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, and produced and performed on several New Age album releases, children’s recordings and sound tracks for interactive CDs. His repertoire is extensive.
One can’t sit passively by listening when Stefan is at the keyboard. He is not only a talented pianist, but also a great connector between the music and the listener. His love of music is contagious, and he shares it generously with his audience.
