Two New In-School Choirs Started Up In January, 2011

O.W. Holmes Elementary/Middle School in SW Detroit, truly a multi-cultural school, has joined the DCC in-school choir program.  This choir of 3rd – 8th graders is under the direction of Mrs. Carol Schoch.

We are VERY pleased to announce that DCC has returned to Carstens Elementary school and has started a 3rd & 4th grade choir under the direction of Mrs. Margaret Reese.

East Side Neighborhood Intermediate Choir performs with the DSO

The East Side Neighborhood Intermediate Choir was honored to be performing in the Detroit Symphony Orchestra concert at the Matrix Center on Wednesday evening, June 9th. The choir sang ‘Oseh Shalom’ and ‘Woke Up this Mornin’ to open the special community concert played by the strings from the DSO conducted by maestro Leonard Slatkin.
