In-School Choirs

The DCC choral program not only becomes your school’s choir, but it also provides your students with many opportunities for mass choir interaction with children from other schools, from across the metro Detroit region, in workshop and performance opportunities that are life-changing in scope and sound.  Students who love to sing and are committed to learning are invited!  We provide a Kodály-inspired choral music education program, developing basic music literacy through fun and engaging activities, sight-singing, healthy vocal technique training, pitch accuracy and part singing skills. Repertoire is varied and multicultural, including genres of classical, folk, world, spirituals, gospel and jazz

Rehearsals are held weekly for one hour, with a culminating performance of DCC's mass choir, annually held in the late spring.
